Hej alla!!!
Last week was very very nice and fully booked with meetings, deadlines and events. I loved it! This weeks started in the same way and it finishes with a cherry on the top – the Georgian night!
Last week we had a study visit to the International Relations Department of Mölndal Municipality where we met Cecilia Rignell (Picture). She is the International projects coordinator for Mölndal Municipality and in charge of developing and stimulating Molndal’s international contacts, informing and educating on international issues and encouraging and giving support for EU projects. The meeting with her was very fruitful and it gave us an excellent insight of the projects in which Mölndal is involved, the topics and budgets of the projects and even about the town twins Mölndal has.
As well last week me and Ako attended the Anna Lindh Foundation network meeting here in Göteborg. The meeting went well and we had the chance to get to know other members of the network, some from outside the area of Göteborg, exchange contacts and information and find out more about Anna Lindh Foundation and their plans for the future. During the meeting we have presented the KEKS network and the projects made in cooperation with organisations from Euro-med countries. Some of the Anna Lindh Foundation Sweden plans for the future is to organize training courses on project writing for ALF grants. If by then we will still work as volunteers in KEKS network it would be really great to attend such an education.
This week was all about making payment orders, preparing the opening of the Eurodesk youth centre and finishing the EVS manual for the EVS Inspiration Tour. The EVS Inspiration Tour seeks to raise the interest about the Youth in Action programme among the KEKS members, and youngsters. The manual is almost finished and very soon we will send it for printing. Beside the manual we will also develop a flyer that will target mainly young people, making them curious for more information.
On 13th of December the Eurodesk youth centre will be opened so there is a lot of preparation work going. We will have a lot of guests, music, presentations, fika and much fun so if you want to join us you are welcome to do so! See you there!
Beside going to the SFI language course and working, these days will be very full as this week it is the Global Week at Göteborg University and I want to attend at least one lecture called ”The Swedish model in a global context”. So if I want to be there in time, I had better be going now. Hej då and don’t forget about the Eurodesk youth centre grand opening! Will have fika!
Andreea
